Energy Rifle
A Rifle is a long-barrelled firearm designed for accurate shooting and higher stopping power. Rifles are typically designed to be held with both hands and braced firmly against the shooter’s shoulder via a buttstock for stability during shooting. Historically, rifles only fired a single projectile with each squeeze of the trigger. Modern rifles are commonly classified as single-shot, bolt-action, semi-automatic, or automatic. Single-shot, bolt-action, and semi-automatic rifles are limited by their designs to fire a single shot for each trigger pull. Only automatic rifles are capable of firing more than one round per trigger squeeze. However, some automatic rifles are limited to fixed bursts of two, three, or more rounds per squeeze.[1]
Energy Rifles shoot blasts of concentrated psionic magical energy, similar to the magical energy employed by psi magic users. An energy cell in the weapon’s magazine triggers a small magical explosion inside the chamber. The magical energy is then focused via an electromagnet and directed out through the barrel. Energy weapons require energy cells in order to function. Most energy weapons required technological aptitude to operate, despite their magical power sources.
