Subdermal Plating
Subdermal Plating is a complete cybernetic replacement of the user’s skin, supplanting it with segmented plates made of a plastic-metal composite which provide additional protection from exterior sources of damage. The composite material’s lightweight construction allows for flexibility near enough to skin that the user is unlikely to feel a reduction in their mobility. However, subdermal plating is significantly heavier, noticeably increasing the user’s weight.
Subdermal plating also retains the user’s sense of touch if they have the necessary neural cyberware as tactile responses are transmitted directly to their cyberbrain.
