Zior is the homeworld of crakhe, holding dominion over the world through sheer numbers alone. The planet is largely covered in arid desert, meaning that the sizeable crakhe population must rely on large, underground lakes to survive. Most crakhe in the star cluster live on Zior, and few of their numbers can be found offworld.

The Terran Republic has long coveted Zior for colonization, but has never really been able to establish a foothold thanks to crakhe.

History

378

Megor raiders invade Kiplar, kicking off the First Megor Invasion. Raiding parties attack settlements across the globe seemingly out of nowhere and massacre nearly all colonists. Most of the colonists are terran, though there are a number of aeyen, erelen, and t’av colonists as well. The megor raiders are ruthless, looting and pillaging what they can, and destroying everything else. Zao slaves act as tech experts and magical batteries during raids, further speaking to the frenzy of megor raiders. A megor fleet creates a blockade in orbit around Kiplar, firing upon starships and shuttles trying to enter and leave the planet. Without an organized military, the residents of Kiplar can do little else but pray for a swift end. The only true resistance to megor raiders exists in the form of other raiders and space pirates who call Kiplar home. But even they are crushed under the might and desperation of the megor raiders.

Crakhe on Zior push back against megor invaders as they fall upon crakhe settlements scattered across the globe. Much more accustomed to conflict, crakhe meet the sudden violence in kind, trading territory with megor clans attempting to take the world for their own.

378 to 382

Megor raiders conquer most of the inner planets in the Huk’Va solar system, leaving only Iioze, Vocaloid, and Leonis untouched.

384

After years of conflict with crakhe nations on Zior, megor invaders find themselves at a standstill with native crakhe, trading territories and resources, but unable to claim the world as their own. Megor clans begin establishing permanent colonies alongside crakhe, with some aiming to conquer the world for themselves, while others sign treaties and build trade routes with the native population.

391 to 409

Megor raiders invade the Xaia solar system during the Second Megor Invasion. Finding themselves no match for a bolstered Terran Republic, the megor raiders are pushed back to the Huk’Va solar system’s inner planets, including Ulta, Zior, and Yrilia.

409

The Terran Republic calls an end to the Second Megor Invasion. Even though megor raiders remain an active threat, the Terran Republic claims victor. The megor raiders can only contest the remaining worlds they had conquered in the Huk’Va solar system—namely, Ulta, Yrilia, and some moons around Trannoth. The Terran Republic vows to one day reclaim its others colonies in the Huk’Va solar system from megor raiders.

442

The Nox’zh’r Apocalypse ravages the residents of Zior.

443

The Terran Republic begins an aggressive campaign to reclaim the worlds it had lost to megor raiders in the Huk’Va solar system throughout, and following, the First Megor Invasion and the Second Megor Invasion. Most megor raiding clans had been wiped out by the Nox’zh’r Apocalypse, and so they meet little resistance.

The remaining megor clans on Zior struggle to survive, cut off from other megor and their numbers decimated by the Nox’zh’r Apocalypse. Some clans strengthen their ties with local crakhe nations, or at least attempt to establish new alliances with the native crakhe in order to survive. Those that don’t quickly find themselves dying out on the largely barren world.
