Mithylium

As the heaviest and strongest of the vibrating metals in the star cluster, mithylium is primarily used to reinforce building foundations, and as the primary material in the construction of starship and shuttle hulls. While heavy and strong, the metal is incredibly brittle, meaning that starship and shuttle hulls are often made up modular plates which can be easily replaced when damaged. Mithylium is rarely used in other applications, though some weapons and heavy machinery manufacturers have been known to use the metal’s higher weight to increase their product’s impact force.

Mithylium is fairly common and easy to find throughout the star cluster.
