Rangers are specialized in ranged combat, physical dexterity, and exploration. Erelen, k’ohma, and t’av all have a rich history of rangers among their guard, though erelen huntresses are particularly renowned for their prowess with bows.

Rangers are all about ranged combat. They are focused entirely on attacking their enemies from afar, using vantage points and high ground to their advantage. At higher levels, they also hide from sight, striking from stealth as much as possible.

  1. Begins the encounter with the On Watch status.
  2. (Level 5+) Gains anticipation, if:
  3. (Level 3+) Counterattacks, if:
    • They’re attacked, and
    • They haven’t used the ability this session.
  4. Guards, if they believe they have the AP to spare.
  5. Moves or scrambles to:
    • Get within range of a target, if they’re not already in range, and
    • Stay as far away from danger as possible.
  6. Drops awareness, if they’re not perceived.
  7. Keeps watch, if:
  8. Administers first aid to themselves, if they’re unstable.
  9. Blindsides the target, if they’re a big enough threat.
  10. Throws the target, if:
  11. (Level 3+) Uses the Double Shot ability.
  12. Flip a coin or roll 1d2:
    1. Attacks or snipes (level 2) the target.
    2. Uses the Throw ability. Roll 1d4:
      1. Throws the target.
      2. Throws another target at the target
      3. Throws an object at the target.
      4. Attacks or snipes (level 2) the target instead.
