Shaman

Immortal Freedom RPG > Non-player Entities (NPCs) > Classes

Shamans provide spiritual guidance, act as mouthpieces for the deceased, and beseech their ancestors for wisdom. They also manipulate essence, imbuing objects and people with its power. Shamans use spirit magic to achieve this—a barely understood and often overlooked magic.

Unlike other magic users, shamans aren’t well versed in combat, as their strength lies in speaking with the dead, not harming others. That being said, they can assault the essence of targets who have essence—but will do so sparingly. Their focus in combat is to unsettle and imbue uncertainty, rather than direct assaulting targets. At higher levels, they cleanse allies if no one else is available, horrify characters, and control spirit remnants.
