Forim Flesh-eating Virus Epidemic

From 505 BC to 502 BC, a flesh-eating virus ravaged the residents of the Forim, one of the larger starships in the terran generational starship fleet. The epidemic lasted for 3 years, took thousands of terran lives, and would influence the physiological development of the descendants of the survivors for hundreds of generations.

505 BC

The Forim Flesh-eating Virus Epidemic kills off most of the inhabitants of the Forim, one of the larger starships making up the terran generational starship fleet. The terrans aboard are quarantined to the starship, to prevent the virus from spreading to the rest of the fleet.

502 BC

The quarantine over the Forim is lifted as all traces of the flesh-eating virus have been eradicated, putting an end to the Forim Flesh-eating Virus Epidemic. Thousands of terrans had died of the virus. Those that survive the virus are severely, physically debilitated, to the point that the physiology of their descendants would be influenced by the virus for several hundred generations.
