A’aena Edhil Icewine
A’aena Edhil Icewine is a dessert wine produced from grapes that frozen by recondites—typically Aeyan recondites—while still on the vine. The sugars and other dissolved solids do not freeze, but the water does, allowing for a more concentrated grape juice to develop. The grapes’ must is then pressed from the frozen grapes, resulting in a smaller amount of more concentrated, very sweet juice.[1]
Thanks to magic, Aeyan nobles in A’aena Edhil have a nearly endless supply of icewine, making it a common pairing for desserts and afternoon treats. It is also one of the city-state’s most profitable exports, being especially popular among Plumeth’s elite and Zaon trade cartel leadership.
