Age and Birthday

Your character’s Age can inform a lot about how they move through the world—especially when interacting with species whose lifespans are much longer or shorter than theirs. While all species mature biologically around the same time, each culture has its own idea of when people reach sociological and cultural maturity. For example, an 800-year-old Erelan is going to treat a 90-year-old Terran much differently than a 20-year-old Terran would. Age also determines if your character was alive during historical events, such as first contact with an alien species or major conflicts.
Refer to the species section for each species’ maximum lifespan to extrapolate your character’s age. You can also use a descriptive word such as “teenager”, “young adult”, or “old” in lieu of a numerical age if you prefer.
Your character’s Birthday is largely inconsequential. However, feel free to include a birthday using whichever calendar you choose if you derive meaning from a person’s birth date.
