Magic and Tech
You must have access to some kind of magic in order to perform magical abilities. In most cases, you will already have a passive ability which gives you access to a specific kind of magic. However, if you don’t have a magical passive ability and your abilities do not specify any restrictions on magic, you can discuss with the game master (GM) how your magic manifests and what kind of magic it is. If you do not have a magical passive ability, you cannot perform magic other than any magical abilities you already have.
Similarly, most Tech abilities require that you have access to a device, cyberware, starship, or another piece of advanced technology. Most Tech abilities are balanced with this requirement in mind.
