Ethamil

Shortly after her creation, Ethamil is moved from the galactic centre to the Tyrir solar system to promote the development of life on Erelon and its surrounding planets.

Ethamil decides to genetically modify a tribe of k’ohma on Erelon which shows a particular mastery over magic. After several generations of gradual genetic modification, Ethamil’s genetically modified k’ohma differ notably from other k’ohma on Erelon. These k’ohma eventually identify themselves as erelen, forever differentiating themselves from their ancestral kin. Ethamil spends most of her time with these new erelen, leaving all other k’ohma to fend for themselves. She adopts the form of an erelan, and very rarely goes amongst the other k’ohma.

Permanent erelan settlements begin appearing in a dense rainforest on Erelon. The rapid development of erelen is thanks in part to Ethamil’s intervention, as she helps the fledgling civilization experiment with primal magic and psi magic. Erelen build in harmony with nature, shaping trees into homes rather than tearing them down to make lumber, in addition to shaping earth and stone to their needs.

The Vassu crosses the star cluster during their first purgative cycle of Artilum Tem. The nebaz hive mind decides the sapient species in the star cluster are not an immediate threat, as they cannot detect any significant concentration of Nox’zh’r lluw. They move on to more direct threats.

The Vassu descends onto Erelon during their third purgative cycle of Artilum Tem. The rapid advancement of erelen draws them to the world, seeing as the species had mastered magic, adopted crystal technology, and constructed large cities across the globe—all in a relatively short period of time. More importantly, the Nox’zh’r mass which would come to be known as Ress’jh was rapidly growing and—while the mass could not be identified directly—its presence could be felt by nebaz descending onto the planet. The Vassu sweeps across Erelon, performing a genocide at a tremendous scale, destroying cities, and extinguishing countless lives. While their focus is erelen, countless k’ohma are also killed in the process. After a short siege, the Vassu moves on to other targets.

Ethamil realizes her nebaz kin had been corrupted. Nebaz were meant to protect life, not destroy it. Ethamil concludes that she needs to take the protection of her beloved erelen—and indeed, all life—into her own hands. She bypasses the limits set on her and all eternals by the Creators to secretly create Luna—an artificial lifeform in the shape of an erelan. Essentially, Luna is erelan. However, she would always know of her origin, would have eternal youth, and could store a large amount of information. She is also completely organic, and comes into life fully formed and ready to experience life. Ethamil gives Luna the task to protect and guide erelen for the foreseeable future, as well as one day return Ethamil’s memories to her, which she stores inside Luna. Ethamil’s own memories are locked away by the Vassu when they leave the star cluster—including her memories of creating Luna.

After observing t’av from afar for millennia, the Erelan Empire establishes first contact with t’av as the dromedary species begins building interstellar starships. Erelen offer their knowledge of crystals and advanced technology to t’av in exchange for t’av culture and the natural resources on Azod, beginning what would become a long-standing friendship between the two species.

The Erelan Empire establishes first contact with the Terran Republic, after a terran expedition stumbles upon an old erelan research satellite in orbit around Zascoeth. Erelen offer their knowledge of crystals and magic to terrans, while terrans impress their ideologies and intrepid spirit onto erelen. The Terran Republic is introduced to the T’av Collective, as well as all known worlds and peoples in the Tyrir and Huk’Va solar systems.

26 years after first contact between the Terran Republic and the Erelan Empire, the Coalition of Planets is formed, marking the beginning of the Age of Cooperation and of a new calendar, starting at year 0. The Coalition of Planets is primarily a terran initiative, and is made up of the Terran Republic, the Erelan Empire, and the T’av Collective. The Ruling Houses of A’aena Edhil and ador are also members through the Erelan Empire. The primary purpose of the Coalition of Planets is to deliberate on decisions which affect all nations and people within the Coalition of Planets, while also encouraging trade and communication between nations.

Ethamil moves back and forth between disaster relief efforts on Erelon, other Erelan Empire holdings and the Megor Federation on Azod, acting as counsel and providing aid where she can.
