Dolphin
A dolphin is an aquatic mammal with a streamlined, fish-like body, two forelimbs evolved into flippers, a complete loss of hindlimbs, and a tail forming a horizontal fluke. They are fast and agile in water, travelling at speeds of 29 kph (18 mph) or leaping about 9 ms (30 ft). Dolphins use their conical teeth to capture fast-moving prey. They have well-developed hearing which is adapted for both air and water—so well-developed that some can survive even if they are blind. Some species are well adapted for diving to great depths. Like other aquatic mammals, they have a thick layer of subcutaneous adipose tissue to keep the body warm in the cold water.
