2-dice Dice Pool

If you’re finding that the game is too difficult, it’s not approachable, or you want to remove tension from the game, your group may choose to increase the baseline dice pools to 2 dice. In other words, instead of rolling 1d6 or 1d8 plus modifiers, you would roll 2d6 or 2d8 plus modifiers.
Warning
If you decide to implement this rule, it will be easier to succeed, seeing as you will always roll at least 2 dice. It is not the intended way to play Immortal Freedom: The Roleplaying Game. Failure and learning from failure are key to the experience of playing the game. However, some people may find that being unable to get a complete success or critical success at the beginning of the game is unfair, or that failing too often is not fun.
