Arrows
An arrow is a fin-stabilized projectile launched by a bow. A typical arrow usually consists of a long, stiff, straight shaft with:
- A weighty, sharp, and pointed arrowhead attached to the front end,
- Multiple fin-like stabilizers called fletchings mounted near the rear, and
- A slot at the rear end called a nock for engaging the bowstring.[1]
Bows require arrows in order to be effective—unless they’re energy bows. A player character may choose to run out of arrows whenever they get drawbacks, necessitating that more arrows be crafted or acquired before their bow can be used again. Similarly, whenever the player character gets complications, the game master (GM) may cause them to run out of arrows.
