Hit Points
Hit Points (HP) represent the number of hits a vehicle can take before being destroyed, as well as the total sum of hit points for each of that vehicle’s systems.
- Starships have a total of 300 HP.
- Shuttles, speeders, and other ground vehicles have a total of 100 HP.
Reducing a vehicle system to 0 HP inflicts the System Down vehicle status on that vehicle system—except if the affected vehicle system is the vehicle’s engines or its hull. Reducing the engines or the hull to 0 HP destroys the vehicle.
Every attack a vehicle performs against another vehicle is worth 5 HP of damage. Every attack a player character or non-vehicle, non-player entity (NPC) performs against a vehicle is worth 1 HP of damage. Every attack a vehicle performs against a player character or NPC inflicts a Major Injury or Major Defect.
Restoring Hit Points
You can perform repairs through vehicle abilities, as well as regular abilities and actions to restore HP to most vehicle systems. The shields’ HP can be restored via the Shield Control vehicle system by performing the appropriate vehicle ability.
