By the end of the First Megor Invasion in 382, the Megor were deeply entrenched on Kiplar, the Gestrian Asteroid Belt, and Trannoth’s and Taeria’s moons. They had succeeded in conquering the worlds they had coveted some years prior, but now found themselves stuck in endless conflict with the Terran Republic, whose military fought tooth and nail to reclaim its worlds. It’s primarily for this reason that the Megor invaded the Xaia solar system in 391, hoping to divide the Terran Republic military and conquer more worlds. Infighting and a disorganised armada lead to the defeat of the Megor at the hands of the Terran Republic, and the Megor were mostly pushed back to Kiplar in 409.

Megor raiders begin attacking Terran Republic colonies in the Xaia solar system, starting the Second Megor Invasion. Their attacks are seemingly random and disorganised, and most of their raids are easily repelled by a Terran Republic military newly bolstered with state-of-the-art weapons and starships, as well as powerful vindicators and combat-ready recondites.

The Megor raider strategy of sudden, ruthless attacks on isolated settlements is no longer as effective in the Xaia solar system as it was in the Huk’Va solar system during the First Megor Invasion. The Terran Republic’s military intercepts Megor raiders before they can reach most colonies, and very quickly take back any ground the Megor take in the solar system. Megor raiders are simply too disorganised and too far away from Ulta, where most of the Megor were focused on defending the worlds they had already conquered. The Second Megor Invasion is a war of attrition—one which the Megor are losing.

The Megor are effectively chased out of the Xaia solar system and pushed back to the Huk’Va solar system. Only a few pockets of Megor remain in the Xaia solar system, scattered and disorganised. The Terran Republic engage the Megor on Taeria’s moons in an attempt to reclaim their lost colonies.
