Grethian Wine
Grethian Wine is renown throughout the star cluster for its particular taste and smooth finish, thanks to the growing conditions afforded by Greth’s distance from Xaia. At first, wine production on Greth was seen as less than ideal due to the cool climate and lack of sunlight, but a surprisingly warm and humid climate, along with grapes adapted to these conditions, soon resulted in wine unlike any other in the solar system, or indeed, the star cluster.
The demand for Grethian wine soared after the construction of the Palisade in 420, which cut off Lurxburg from the rest of the Terran Republic. The formation of the Hold and subsequent events further limited the supply of Grethian wines, and ensured any Grethian wines out in circulation would be valuable vintage.
