Pistol
A Pistol is a type of handgun, characterised by a barrel with an integral chamber. The word "pistol" is often used as a generic term to describe any type of handgun, such as revolvers and derringers. The most common type of pistol used in the modern era is the semi-automatic pistol. Older single-shot, lever-action pistols are rare and used primarily for show. Fully-automatic machine pistols are also uncommon.[1]
Unless they are an energy pistol, pistols shoot kinetic projectiles made of a variety of materials, such as copper, lead, steel, polymer, rubber, and even wax. Slug weapons require ammo in order to operate.[2]
